Development of three new skill standards and review of the Certificate of Approval (COA) unit standards
Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council has reviewed 3-unit standards in the Security Staff Services domain and these are proposed to be expired December 2026.
A review panel has developed new skill standards to align with the Certificate of Approval, ensuring the skills, knowledge and capabilities reflected in current unit standards are translated and developed into these new skill standards, confirming they are useful and relevant to the sector.
Once approved these skill standards will be listed on the NZQA Directory of Assessment and Skill Standards (DASS).
These standards will also form part of The New Zealand Certificate in Security (Foundation) (Level 3) [Ref: 3642-2].
Participation and feedback
These draft skill standards are now available for sector/national consultation until COB 15 May 2024.
