Ringa Hora and Toi Mai in conjunction with other Workforce Development Council (WDC’s) have collaborated to create a skill standard for contractors at level 3 in the Business domain. These are basic skills that a contractor needs, like calculating GST, interpreting contracts, and making quotes etc. Our thinking is that these skills will apply to any contractor in any industry, which is why we sought a wider consultation to help us create a generic standard for our akonga in any industry thinking about being a contractor.
