The deadline for feedback and expressions of interest to Ringa Hora for our first review of Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) documents has been extended.
Ringa Hora responsible for the development and maintenance of CMRs in the Service sector. Each CMR document covers the requirements which Tertiary Education organisations must meet to assess against the specific unit standards, and the moderation process that organisations with consent to assess need to engage in.
The CMRs have not been updated since they were transferred to the remit of the Workforce Development Councils (WDCs) in 2021. We are now undertaking a comprehensive review of all CMRs that relate to the Services industries to ensure they are relevant and fit for purpose.
Our expectation at the completion of the review is that the Ringa Hora CMRs:
Currently Ringa Hora has seven CMRs. The plan is to combine these and have one CMR for all sectors managed by Ringa Hora, with appendices stating specific industry-related requirements. The reviewed CMR will contain a core that will outline the requirements all providers must meet. The core has been reviewed and the requirements are largely unchanged from current CMRs, noting the wording may vary to ensure we have consistency.
The draft core CMR and the Ringa Hora sector-specific appendices can be seen below. All industries have one appendix, bar Aviation, for which there are six:
