Ringa Hora has been working on a project to reform the way competence of culinary practitioners in Aotearoa New Zealand is recognised and assessed. We have built:
We plan for people to do their learning and be recognised for their skills in a very wide variety of environments, from food carts to marae wharekai, hotels and restaurants, to artisan cafes.
We will shortly display new drafts of qualifications and standards for comment.
The hospitality sector, which is part of the services industry, covers a broad range of fields. This includes food, drink, event planning, and accommodation. Bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts, and motels are all part of the hospitality industry.

2023 Revision of Unit Standard 13274 Cook food items by poaching. This standard was revised in August 2023 to extend the last day for assessment of version 5 to 31 December 2024.
