Introduction

Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council is working with sector technical experts in 2025 to review nine Hospitality qualifications in accommodation, food and beverage, and hospitality. The goal is to ensure the qualifications remain relevant, useful and responsive to the evolving needs of the sector.

We invite industry professionals, educators, and stakeholders to participate in this review process. Your insights are invaluable in shaping qualifications that truly support learners and meet workforce demands.

Ringa Hora prepared for the review of nine hospitality qualifications, gathering and considering pre-review feedback and data, attending consistency review events for some of the qualifications being reviewed, and seeking expressions of interest from the sector to be involved in the review process (closed 30 June 2025).

A Guide to Steering Groups, Working Groups, and Consultation Groups has more information on the ways you may be part of the review process.

We are interested in receiving sector input on the current qualifications, and how useful and relevant they are for the sector.  We invited stakeholders to share their feedback through our feedback form or emailing [email protected].
