Million Māori: Mobilising for our mokopuna

Tuia 2024 was an unforgettable gathering where ahurea met opportunity.

Tuia was an epic two days of insights, whanaungatanga, and inspiration, with learnings that will contribute to the successful and sustainable future for our mokopuna that we all strive for.

Ngā mihi nui to our speakers and panellists, the generosity of our sponsors, and the participation of the kaimahi Māori and pākihi Māori from across our Service sector!

A letter to our mokopuna

During registration we asked Tuia 2024 attendees what they would like to ask their mokopuna in 100 years’ time.

While some wanted to know what the world was like for their mokopuna in the future, many were concerned with ensuring taonga such as whakapapa, reo, and whenua were passed on. “Did I do enough?” was a common theme.

We had planned an interactive session where attendees could write a letter to their mokopuna. We invite you to use the postcard supplied to reflect on the learnings offered through Tuia 2024 and commit to the actions you will take to mobilise for your mokopuna.

Download the postcard and start with the prompts:

  • Today I have …
  • Tomorrow I will …

Share them with us on our social channels – LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram!
