Boost for services sector puts industry in driving seat to contribute to transformation in vocational education

A boost for the service sector with the transfer of funding from ServiceIQ to Ringa Hora (Services Workforce Development Council) is designed to support the development of industry specific skills leadership and brokerage projects in partnership with service industries.

In addition to the $3m funding, ServiceIQ has also gifted a series of insights reports as part of the Hinonga Kōkiri / Head Start Project. Ringa Hora is excited to partner with our service industries to deliver a vocational education system that is industry led, Te Tiriti partnered, regionally flexible and ensures vocational learning excellence.

Ringa Hora Council Chair, Hinerangi Edwards says, “These gifts from ServiceIQ help Ringa Hora address a shared agenda of mahi that we may not have been able to progress otherwise. We look forward to working together with industry representatives to develop greater concepts and actions and are excited to embark on our journey with the provision of the Hinonga Kōkiri / Head Start  research and this fund. As a publicly funded industry led organisation, our customer base is broad and we are determined to listen and deliver”.
