Matthew Scobie is the lead author of the recently released report, Amplifying Māori approaches: The transformative potential of Māori economies.

His work explores what it means to build a political economy guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi—one that gives equal weight to economy, nature, social wellbeing, and knowledge. Drawing from political economy, kaupapa Māori, and critical accounting, Matthew’s research is grounded in Indigenous reconstruction and decolonisation.
