Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council is commencing a development of a national qualification of the Professional Legal Studies Course (PLSC), to be available on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF).
At the moment, the PLSC programmes lead to an award of a micro-credential which will be discontinued in 2024 so by developing a qualification, this will enable a smooth transition from existing programmes. We are not reviewing the NZCLE Regulations associated with the PLSC.
Timeframe
We propose the development to take place during August and November to:
Development meeting with expert writing group (4hrs)
A development writing workshop will be conducted via 4-hour face-to-face meeting on the 28th August 2023 in Auckland, venue TBC. Once drafted, Ringa Hora seek further information to refine the qualification, consult on the draft and seek sector support before submission to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). Once the expert writing group have drafted the qualification, we intend to run an online drop-in session to seek sector feedback on the draft.
