The Professional Legal Studies Course, which is and will continue to be governed by and subject to the NZCLE Regulations, needs to be converted to a ‘Qualification’ on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework due to legislation involving re-categorisation of the existing scheme under which the PLSC and its providers operate.
Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council with sector support and guidance have developed a qualification for the Professional Legal Studies Course. We now invite your feedback on the proposed qualification by 8 December 2023. The final draft of the qualification is available here.
The sector consisting of the regulator, providers and industry worked as a writing panel to provide the expertise on the development of the qualification.

This consultation process does not involve considering or incorporating feedback on any suggested changes to the Regulations associated with the qualification.
